Wealth Diversification Through Art – Rishiraj Sethi
As global art markets seem to be on the road to recovery, the
Indian art market still appears to be tottering along. Rishiraj
Sethi, Director of Aura Art Development Pvt Ltd, points out
the value of wealth diversification into Indian Art as an asset
class and strategizes to resuscitate not just the art market but
also boost the confidence of the artists and art workers.
As I write this piece, I cannot help but reflect on my analysis and the
articles written thereafter in 2007/2008, the formative years of the Aura Art
strategy on the need for diversification into alternative assets and the strategy
to be adopted for participating in Indian Art as an asset class. Incidentally,
the Aura Art launch show which opened on 29th January 2008 missed the
stock market peak by a couple of weeks. And then the tide turned.
