The Enigma a New Landscape:
Solo Show of Gopal Samantray
Vikash Nand Kumar
This summer when the Indian Art Scene is little relaxed or may be planning new events for the next season of art, the effervescent street of South Delhi invites you to have a look on the not to miss creative varieties on display. The space is called Art District XIII and the creativity unleashed by the artist Gopal Samantray in the second week of May 2016.The exhibition is titled as The Enigma of a New landscape, though most of the viewers are truly aware of the subject and the objective the artist wants to put forth. As the artist points out – The subject I deal with is of grave concern to every living being on this earth. My prime motto is to let the people aware of the situation they are knowingly or unknowingly creating in dire thirst of modernization.
They always forget the essence and necessity of the things which they are losing in the glitzy infrastructural development. They have forgotten that the world would always survive till you make an appropriate balance between two opposite forces. Gopal is a creative visionary ecologist. The artworks made by him always express the harnessing problem i.e. global warming. His works are inspired by the idealization of life where he thinks of the way the world should act. An onlooker always tends to stop for a second and think about it, but in some sense, is bound to deal with it.
