the Earth by Achia Anzi [DELHI]

Do you have an answer to what is existence? Looking to a work of art for an answer? I’ll not say that all of your puzzled thoughts would probably get a correct answer, but yes you will definitely get a vision to experience things differently, some might take it philosophically while some might be overpowered by science, while others would silently confront the ‘the silent call of the Earth’. A thoughtful appreciation, an allegory of expressions, a symbol of identity, notion of the Earth and the elements that reveal the truth, well, the exhibition ‘the silent call of the Earth’ by Achia Anzi, an Israeli artist opened up varied interpretations for the beholder, unfolded numerous mysteries and defined the phenomenon behind every object nurtured by the Earth.
His station housed the objects that bore an incongruent place on Earth and hence were subject to multi-connotations acknowledged by the preceptor. A rigorous study, and months of generation of the concept, the artist gained inspiration from the German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s verses, from ‘The Origin of the Work of Art’, “In the shoes vibrates the silent call of the Earth, its quiet gift of the ripening grain and its self-refusal in the fallow desolation of the wintry field”. The mini work station developed by him at 24 Jorbagh, created multiple dimensions in the realm of installations, and was conjointly presented by The Gujral Foundation and Threshold Art Gallery.
