VALENTINA DUSAVISTSKAYA

Valentina Dusavistskaya is a professional Russian artist, who
specializes in sculpture and painting. She is the director of Art “АРТ
ПЕНЗА галерея” fine art gallery, Manager of AIESM in Russia, the
curator of international sculpture symposium, and wife of contemporary
sculptor Yury Tkachenko. She engages with her practice through curating
exhibitions, and hosting workshops and guest lectures.
Valentina has been making art since she was very young. When we
asked what played an important role as an inspiration in her evolution
as an artist, she answers saying, “Only and only my experiences with
different circumstances and situations from personal life. These two
things are very important for any creation. These are the main source
of creation for me. We cannot run away from our circumstances and
situation. For references, I used Russian history, mythology, meditation,
supernatural, symbols, culture and finally I sculpted in different
medium, and size.”
