Pramathesh Chandra Barua, popularly known as P.C. Barua to his colleagues, was a multi-faceted talent who was born in a
place called Gauripur in Assam in 1903. This versatile genius was an accomplished actor, a well-known director and a successful screenplay writer. His contribution to Indiancinema of the pre-independence period is and has, in more ways than one, paved the way for future aspiring directorsand actors in experimenting with new and dimensions of cinema.
