Two Solo Projects by Artists:
Prasanta Sahu and Ushmita Sahu(Hyderabad)

Palak Dubey

Works by PrasantaSahu, titled, ‘Blueprint of City’ and UshmitaSahu’s titled,’White Noise’ were recently on display at Kalakriti Art Gallery, Hyderabad from 1st July to 15th July. Both the artist’s works promised a spectacular journey to the viewers, though in completely diverse directions. While the works byPrasanta explore the surroundings and their many interrelated paradigms. The works by Ushmita are highly introspective in nature and are a like a visual process that excavates an unknown land. The expanses that exemplify her intimate rendezvous with the ‘self ’, spread wide open, straight forwardand bare in front of the viewer.

Prasanta’s works traverse through the ever evolving urban terrain seeping deep into thin fissures, absorbing and registering the intricate details. His works give the welldeserved importance to the group of people who imbibe into themselves the strength and spirit to design the infrastructure, they are present in all directions of the society in the form of construction site workers, small food stall owners, and others.
