Project 080:30 and Live Art Lab, Bangalore, 2014

Bengaluru was bustling with performance art when I reached there on my first trip. 6 groups and individuals were supported by India Foundation for the Arts, Bangalore under it’s Project 560. I was part of 080:30 group during my stay there, by documenting their performances and participating in discussions. It was great to see these young graduates coming out on streets to perform. The project was a brain child of Suresh Kumar and his project ”Loopholes”. Also, this year’s edition of Live Art Lab (LAL) happened at ‘Bangalore Santhe’ at Vivekananda metro station. With the working title ‘Warp-Woof-Weft’, it’s main emphasis was on the process related to time, site & situation. These are some photo excerpts from the Performing Acts of the city:
